Nurturing Well-Rounded Students for a Lifetime of Fulfilment

At King’s College La Moraleja, alongside our King’s Values, fostering good emotional well-being and mental health is at the heart of our school ethos and culture from the Early Years. With strong mental health, every student can realise their full potential and thrive.

The results of this approach speak for themselves: we are the proud recipients of the Wellbeing Award for Schools, highlighting our commitment to the wellbeing of our community. Additionally, our school has been rated 'Outstanding' in all areas of the BSO report for the past decade, and our students have achieved exceptional IGCSE results over the years, going on to lead fulfilling and successful lives.

Meaningful Pastoral Care for Excellent Student Outcomes

The teaching and non-teaching staff of our school are dedicated to providing the best guidance to students as they grow and develop. For younger students, their class teacher and learning assistant are the primary points of contact for help and advice. They can seek help either through their class teaching or on an individual basis.

We have a dedicated pastoral and wellbeing leader who ensures that all students' needs are planned for and met through the curriculum and assembly programme. Additionally, our school has an onsite counsellor who takes care of the emotional needs and wellbeing of our pupils.

Expertise and Staff Training

We provide staff training to ensure that our students are given the best possible advice. Our programme is also supplemented by visitors from international universities in the UK, Spain, and other countries. We organise an annual University Fair, a Careers Day, and our teachers receive top educational consultant advice and training on the latest teaching trends.

Anti-Bullying Strategies

At King's La Moraleja, we effectively raise anti-bullying awareness with the different year groups through PSHE sessions, Circle time, and assemblies. This important wellbeing issue is revisited many times during the school year to ensure we develop students' empathy and prevent this negative behaviour.
